Job Summary

The Loudoun County Treasurer's Office is seeking qualified applicants for a cashier to work as a front-line cashier and courier, for a limited portion of the day, in the Leesburg Treasurer's Office. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a general knowledge of customary cashiering operations to include verifying, receiving, and processing tax payments, collecting departmental revenues and responding to questions regarding tax bills, tax deadlines, county tax rate and general county governmental information. This individual must have experience using an integrated cashiering system, balancing a cash drawer, experience operating standard office machines and computer systems, along with exceptional customer service skills to provide complex information to citizens. Hiring salary commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and two (2) years of related experience, including cash handling. Bilingual Spanish / English preferred.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a criminal background, credit, and DMV checks. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 : 30AM to 5 : 00PM with mandatory overtime during tax deadlines.
