Job Shift : Shift 2

Shift Details : 2nd shift 2 : 45 pm until 11 : 15pm.will require walking, driving, assisting the public and staff. responding to emergency calls.

The Hartford Hospital Public Safety department has been in existence for over 40 years providing a wide variety security services to the hospital community.

The department has over 90 members that are all State of CT certified. Officers receive additional training from a certified in house instructor upon hire.

Job Summary :

Provides assistance and protection to patients, employees, visitors and property in and about the organization and affiliated entities to ensure safety and security of the premises.

Reports to the Public Safety shift Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid State of Connecticut Security Guard Card.
  • Valid CT Driver’s License.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a police officer, corrections officer or relevant security officer work required

Extensive course work in criminal justice or related field may be substituted for work experience.

Excellent customer service skills are required.
