Physical Therapy Aide Technician (Bilingual Spanish)

Job Description

All Care Therapies is currently seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Physical Therapist Aide to join our dynamic Outpatient clinic!

Patient Care :

  • Assist in and perform patient transfers and lifts using proper body mechanics, according to standard techniques.
  • Assist the therapist in evaluations / treatments at the bedside and the rehabilitation gym (i.e., exercises, mat activities, orthosis fabrication, modality preparation).
  • Report treatment activities, patient progress, and any unusual response to treatment or incident to the therapist.

Office Responsibilities :

  • Assist the therapist with delivery, set-up, and clean-up of the treatment area (i.e., patient room, rehab gym, splint set up) for patient care delivery
  • Maintain a neat / tidy appearance in all areas of the department, returning equipment / supplies to designated areas
  • Regularly sanitize exercise equipment, mats, and assistive devices according to hospital safety and infection control standards.
  • Evaluate and distribute linen supplies, changing linens on treatment tables according to procedures
  • Maintain medical supplies in all treatment areas
  • Sustain organization in the closets regularly
  • Sweep soiled utility and equipment rooms at least twice weekly for therapy equipment
  • Assist in department communication processes-answer telephones, transit messages from nursing service to the therapist, communicate between therapists, etc.

    • The pay range for this position is : $18 - $19 / hr

    Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in Spanish
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service and telephone skills
  • Good computer skills with MS Office (MS Excel and Word)
  • Experience as a Physical Therapy Aide in Outpatient settings is preferred but not required
  • This position is full-time : Monday-Friday 8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM Please ensure you are available full-time before applying
