Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. The Security Assistant Shift Manager is responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the security department.

Essential Responsibilities

• Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager regarding any concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction
• May be responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; supports compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reports budget concerns to manager
• Serves as the Security Manager on duty in the absence of the Security Shift Manager
• Enforces internal control policies and procedures including but not limited to underage gambling and drinking laws
• Maintains safety and inspections reports for the property
• Conducts regular Security post inspections
• Prepares Security incident reports and maintains Security logs
• Responds to guest and employee concerns and complaints and solves their problems with professionalism and compassion
• Ensures Security Officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards consistent with departmental and company policies
• Interacts and cooperates with regulatory, fire / rescue, and law enforcement agencies
• Responsible for staff development and training programs
• Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement
• Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees regarding performance
• Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs
• Manages work procedures and expedites workflow
• Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling)
• Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to management

Starting Salary

$52,500 to $60,000 annually, based on experience
