Position : Engineering & Estimating Specialist

Company : Executive Electronics of Southwest Florida | Security & Audio Video Integration

Are you detail-oriented, highly organized, and excited to grow in a fast-paced, technology-driven industry? We’re looking for a motivated Engineering & Estimating Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on precision, and wants to play a key part in delivering high-quality security and AV integration solutions.

What You’ll Do

Develop accurate project estimates and proposals for security, surveillance, access control, audio / video, and smart integration projects.
Collaborate with the sales and design teams to review plans, drawings, and specifications.
Provide general technical support during the sales and planning process to ensure solutions are accurate and cost-effective.
Assist with engineering design documentation, system schematics, and parts lists.
Review vendor pricing and product specifications to optimize project designs.
Support the project management team with handoffs and documentation for smooth installations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest AV, automation, and security technologies.

What We’re Looking For

A strong eye for detail and accuracy.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Solid understanding of security and AV systems (alarm, access control, CCTV, distributed audio, control systems, etc.).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); CAD / Visio experience is a plus.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Previous estimating, engineering, or integration industry experience preferred but not required.
