Institutional Consulting Analyst
Focus Partners Wealth is seeking an Institutional Consulting Analyst to join our team! As an Institutional Consulting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Institutional team located in West Hartford, CT. This individual will work closely with the team to make informed decisions, generate client-facing reports, and help construct and monitor client portfolios. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about financial markets, client service and investment research.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct investment research and due diligence. Perform in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis on various investment vehicles, including mutual funds, ETFs, CITs, and Separately Managed Accounts.
- Analyze and monitor market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to assess their potential impact on investment strategies and client portfolios.
- Support portfolio management. Assist in the construction, rebalancing, and ongoing monitoring of client portfolios to ensure alignment with client objectives and risk tolerance.
- Prepare and present reports. Create clear and concise investment reports, presentations, and commentaries for internal use and client meetings. Translate complex data into digestible summaries for advisors and clients.
- Ensure compliance. Adhere to all firm policies and regulatory standards maintaining records of all investment research and activities.
- Collaborate across teams. Work collaboratively with financial advisors, client service associates, and the compliance department to provide seamless support and analysis.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge, best practices, and insights.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, custodians, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and other channels.
- Provide timely and accurate information to resolve inquiries, address issues, and offer updates on account status.
- Proactively anticipate and resolve complex situations, identifying potential issues before they arise.
- Produce on-demand and scheduled reporting for advisors and clients as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and committee work as assigned.
- Manage and complete special projects throughout the year as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Series 65, or ability to obtain within 100 days.A CFA, CIMA, or similar professional designation is preferable.Relevant experience in investment management, financial services, or a similar role.Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).Proficiency in Adobe Writer.Comfortable working with databases, workflow systems, and CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, Tamarac, etc.).Familiarity with financial custodians (e.g., Fidelity, Schwab, Pershing) is a plus.The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $90,000-$105,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
