We are actively hiring for a Commercial Insurance State Product Manager.

Your work :

Supports new and existing product development, forms, pricing, and filing needs.

Understands business rules / logic associated with their product’s features, is the source of truth on state based differences and ensures they are documented and maintained.

Defines product KPIs and maintains and reports out on product and state analytics on an ongoing basis.

Demonstrates awareness of competitor actions, demographics, and regulatory / legislative process. Maintains market-specific competitive intelligence and market trend analyses.

Works closely with the Mobilitas insurance product, operations, and service organization, taking responsibility for all potential messaging touch points related to state and regional product changes.

Collaborates with Forms, Legal, and Claims to identify risk exposures and recommend appropriate state specific product enhancements.

Regularly seeks out market data to develop points of view and make well-informed decisions.

Supports regulatory relationships including interfacing with state DOIs and accurately responding to data calls and state inquiries.

Required Experience, Education and Skills

BA / BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

6+ years’ experience working with insurance products / services.

3+ years of commercial insurance experience.

2+ years of insurance product management experience.

Product / State management and / or underwriting experience within commercial insurance industry.

Detailed knowledge of commercial lines products and contract knowledge.

Experience with usage-based insurance product design.

Deep knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle, competitors, insurance product pricing, financial drivers of profitability, insurance regulations and surplus line regulations, general insurance operations, and business processes.

Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to influence.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills focusing on How .

Proactive and self-starter who will search for opportunities and problems and then address them. Flexibility and capacity to balance multiple demands.

What would make us excited about you?

Prior experience with insurance lines including commercial auto, general liability, excess liability, cargo, and property a big plus!

CPCU certification.

Actuarial designation.

Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.)

Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings
