Job description

The Sr. Account Executive role will be to represent SIMKHAI to the domestic market and manage a portion of the domestic sales across Accessories, Womenswear, Menswear & Swimwear. We are seeking this role to nurture both existing and new wholesale clients. One of the primary roles will be to increase SIMKHAI sales turnover by maintaining, managing and building the client base with a view to long-term relationships founded on excellent client service. The Sr Account executive will report to the SVP Sales & Merchandising.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for maintaining and growing both new and existing women’s wholesale accounts in the USA, across RTW, Accessories and Swim divisions.
  • Perform weekly, monthly and end of season sales analysis for all domestic sales, with comprehensive financial understanding of the business.
  • Drive in season business through reorder replenishment and proactively identifying sales opportunities, create strategy with other team members to foster revenue growth in season.
  • Travel and spend regular time in stores to provide product knowledge clinics, selling events and to gain a clear overview of the business potential per market. Work closely with individuals on the sales team to foster event business and support our retailers.
  • Target new business, analyze brand adjacency and positioning, and survey the general market for additional wholesale opportunities and enforce company policies on markdowns, promotions and store placement.
  • Generate seasonal and monthly sales targets for the sales team and drive home company strategies and revenue targets.
  • Responsible for preparing for market and selling the collections in New York, Regional markets will be layered in where applicable to the business.
  • Responsible for ensuring the team is entering and reviewing orders ensuring strong classification coverage and brand representation per door.
  • Negotiate terms and financial agreements with respective accounts.
  • Maintain the highest degree of client service; serve as a brand ambassador.

Requirements :

  • Must have minimum 7+ years of related experience in the contemporary or luxury market
  • Must have previous domestic sales experience
  • Must have prior fashion industry experience
  • Must have Bachelors degree from an accredited university
  • Must have demonstrated strong financial acumen, analytics skills and knowledge of retail math.
  • Must have engaging verbal / communication and presentation skills
  • Must be able to travel by road and air, overnight stays and weekend work when needed.
