Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team . As a key member of our shredder operations, you will be responsible for efficiently handling and manoeuvring materials using skid steer equipment.
Schedule : Monday - Friday / 6 : 00AM - 3 : 00PM
Pay Range : $20.00 - $24.00 Per Hour DOE + Full Benefit Package, Health Insurance and 401K Company Matches
- Operating excavator machinery to move and process scrap metal materials within the shredder department
- Sorting and segregating various types of metals using appropriate attachments on the skid steer
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks, containers, and processing equipment
- Maintaining a clean and organized (yard) work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assisting in general maintenance tasks for equipment and facility upkeep during any downtime
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Excavator Operator in a heavy industrial setting is a MUST
- Previous general labour experience required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Comfortable working outdoors in various types of weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc)
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty, heavy industrial setting
