Position Summary :

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team at a licensed Adult Foster Care (AFC) home. The ideal candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, many of whom require assistance due to age or disability. This part-time role is essential to supporting the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.

Sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.

Change bed linens and launder resident clothing and household items.

Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and ensure personal items are organized.

Dispose of trash and recycling appropriately.

Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and household items.

Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the home manager.

Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.

Maintain confidentiality and respect residents’ privacy and dignity.

Qualifications :

Previous housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or residential setting.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Must pass background checks and meet AFC licensing requirements.

CMH / MDHHS required trainings
