Job Purpose
To provide administrative support to paralegal(s) and attorneys in her / his legal team.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform administrative assistance to paralegal(s) and attorneys :
Produce and distribute correspondence (typing, filing, data entry)
Set up litigation, warranty, subpoena and transactional matters in matter management systemProcess settlement checks, auction proceeds and sales tax checksOrganize and schedule meetings and appointmentsBook travel arrangementsSubmit and reconcile expense reports, payment requests and check requisitionsPrepare presentations and reportsProjects : Participate in the planning and execution of assigned Law & IP projectsBack Up : Provide back up to other administrative assistantsQualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications :
AA degree preferred but not requiredMinimum Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of administrative assistant experience and / or at least 2 years of experience working in a law office or corporate law departmentOther Job-Specific Skills :
Time management skills, flexibility and attention to detail are essentialGood communication and organizational skillsKnowledge of litigation is preferable (if supporting litigation legal team)Proficiency with MS Office : Word, Excel, and PowerpointBilingual in Spanish is nice to haveJob Dimensions
