We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Integrative Medical Receptionist. As a receptionist in our integrative medical practice, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities :
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and maintain accurate patient records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about our services, practitioners, and clinic policies.
- Coordinate patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date insurance and demographic information.
- Collect and process payments, handle billing inquiries, and maintain financial records.
- Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes.
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and scheduling software.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and external contacts in a professional and compassionate manner.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.Knowledge of integrative medicine concepts and terminology is desirable.Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed.Able to accept and process cash transactions from patients.Join our team and contribute to our mission of providing integrative healthcare services that prioritize patient well-being and holistic healing.
