Licensed Psychotherapist (Full- or Part-time)Overview

Embodied Wellness Center, a Chicago-based integrative mental health group practice, is looking for part-time or full-time psychotherapists to join our practice.

We are currently operating virtually but can offer office space to clinicians upon request. We are looking for motivated candidates with an interest in somatic approaches like mindfulness, yoga therapy, EMDR, somatic experiencing, or sensorimotor therapy.

We especially value clinicians from diverse backgrounds, and our goal is to create a team that represents the diversity of the world we live in.

Embodied Wellness Center provides a steady stream of referrals as well as highly competitive pay and benefits. Candidate must be independent, driven, adaptable, and collaborative.

Candidates who commit to at least 23 client sessions per week are eligible for full-time employee status, otherwise candidates will be hired as independent contractors.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform outpatient individual and / or group therapy for adults, couples, or families at Embodied Wellness Center, in accordance with company policies.
• Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics related to licensure.
• Manage schedule independently (i.e., schedule clients, reschedule, block time off, manage cancellations, and maintain an up-to-date availability).
• Communicate with clients’ treatment teams (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school) as necessary.
• Complete written records for each client, including, but not limited to, intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, and other forms or documents that may be needed or required from time to time by Embodied Wellness Center or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client in a timely manner (within 48 hours of occurrence).
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Embodied Wellness Center.
• Track and maintain hours and continuing education per specific licensure requirements.
• Seek out case consultation from qualified colleagues or Clinical Director as needed.

Job Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Current State of Illinois license as a LCPC LCSW, or LMFT.
• Available to maintain 23+ client sessions per week for full-time employment and 10+ client sessions per week for part-time employment, provided such sessions are available and referred.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in a private practice setting is highly preferred.
• Additional certifications related to somatic therapies are highly preferred.
• Must be willing to work some evening or weekend hours.
