Senior Associate
Location : New York, NY
Duties
Conduct extensive financial modelling and commercial, financial, operational, legal and technical due diligence. Advise clients on aspects of capitalization, such as amounts, sources, or timing. Evaluate and execute new investment opportunities (including due diligence, market analysis, external debt financing etc.). Responsible for financial and operational modeling. Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. Interact with external lenders and bankers. Create client presentations of plan details. Involved strategically and operationally with existing portfolio companies. Understanding leveraged finance and ability to help structure and raise appropriate debt. Conduct analysis of market, target customer, sales, and census data, financial analyses. Collaborate on projects with other professionals, such as bankers, lawyers, accountants, industry consultants, technical advisors or human capital experts. Conduct industry research, market analysis / research, and transaction screening and execution.
Requirements
Bachelor's in Economics, Finance, or quantitative STEM field including Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or closely related field plus two (2) years of investment banking and / or management consulting experience. Experience must include : Working within Industry Coverage, Merger & Acquisitions, Leveraged Finance, or Financial Sponsors; Applying analytic and financial modeling skills for deal execution; Applying knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and business operations; and Financial modelling in Leveraged Buyout model, merger model, discounted cash flow analysis, analysis at various prices, operational model forecasting, and lender modeling; Software industry expertise including SaaS business models, cloud economics, and enterprise software valuation methodologies; Experience with technology-specific KPIs and metrics; Understanding of PE fund structures, investment mandates, and return expectations; Knowledge of different investment strategies (platform acquisitions, add-ons, growth equity, etc.) and their specific requirements. Telecommuting permitted 1 - 2 days per week within normal commuting distance.
