Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical systems, machine vision, and rail industry technologies. This role involves working closely with customers and internal teams to design, present, and deliver advanced rail engineering solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on rail domain experience, strong technical pre-sales capabilities, and the ability to lead onsite–offshore coordination.
Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with customers and internal teams to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end rail engineering solutions.
- Lead pre-sales and solutioning activities including RFP / RFI responses, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept development.
- Apply mechanical engineering and machine vision expertise to design next-generation inspection and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with mechanical, automation, software, and AI / ML teams to build integrated and scalable solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototype validation, and performance testing.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused value propositions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in rail automation, vision analytics, and detection systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.5–10 years of experience in solutions engineering, design, or technical pre-sales.Railroad domain experience is mandatory.Strong foundation in mechanical systems design and integration.Experience with rolling stock, track inspection, or railway safety systems.Hands-on experience with machine vision platforms.Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical depth to business stakeholders.Experience coordinating with onsite and offshore teams.Nice to Have :
Exposure to predictive maintenance, digital twin, or inspection automation.Familiarity with AI / ML, image analytics, or computer vision frameworks.
