Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate must hold an active Hawaii OT certification prior to starting and be able to work full-time, covering weekends as needed. This role requires delivering comprehensive therapeutic interventions, evaluating patient progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and delivering consistent, patient-centered care throughout the week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient occupational therapy evaluation, treatment, and re-evaluation in accordance with physician orders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional improvement and patient goals.
  • Document all assessments, treatment sessions, and patient responses accurately within the EMR system.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and safety recommendations.
  • Maintain compliance with all state licensing requirements and facility clinical standards.
  • Work scheduled day shifts and provide weekend coverage as required.

    • Requirements

  • Active Hawaii Occupational Therapist certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of occupational therapy experience.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week), including weekends.
  • Must meet all applicable certification requirements (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other applicable certifications based on client standards).
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.

    • Additional Information

  • Holiday pay applies only when the shift begins on the designated holiday.
  • This client does not follow the HHSC state compliance process.
