Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate must hold an active Hawaii OT certification prior to starting and be able to work full-time, covering weekends as needed. This role requires delivering comprehensive therapeutic interventions, evaluating patient progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and delivering consistent, patient-centered care throughout the week.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient occupational therapy evaluation, treatment, and re-evaluation in accordance with physician orders.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional improvement and patient goals.

Document all assessments, treatment sessions, and patient responses accurately within the EMR system.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and safety recommendations.

Maintain compliance with all state licensing requirements and facility clinical standards.

Work scheduled day shifts and provide weekend coverage as required.

Requirements

Active Hawaii Occupational Therapist certification.

Minimum of 5 years of occupational therapy experience.

Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week), including weekends.

Must meet all applicable certification requirements (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other applicable certifications based on client standards).

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.

Additional Information

Holiday pay applies only when the shift begins on the designated holiday.

This client does not follow the HHSC state compliance process.
