We are seeking an RTRA to join our Head Start program! The Regional Team Resource Assistant (RTRA) provides leadership support, coaching, guidance, and supervision of assigned staff teams in the planning and implementation of all program service areas, including Child Development and Health Services, Family and Community partnerships, and Staff Development.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Regional Team Resource Assistant (RTRA) supports is responsible the Regional Team Resource Specialist (RTRS) by providing guidance, direction and support to assigned classroom staff teams, in planning and implementation of all classroom services, staff training and monitoring.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
- Associate's degree in early childhood education or related degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education.
- Two years of experience in a Head Start or other Early Learning
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license, insured vehicle available for work-related travel and a satisfactory driving record for the past three years. (Driver qualifications are required for this position. Valid driver license insured vehicle available for use on the job, and a satisfactory drive record for the previous three years are required.Successful registration with the Central Background Registry of the Child CareCPR / First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days ofFood Handlers Card or the ability to obtain within 30 days ofMust pass pre-employment physical examination, renewable every twoMust pass pre-employment and random drug / alcoholKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Assists the RTRS with orientation and training of new siteAssists the RTRS by observing in classrooms to help identify teams requiring additional support, direction orWorks in collaboration with RTRS to complete regional tasks including :Monitoring health and safety monitoring complianceSupporting child behavior management in the classroom and other site / regionWorks collaboratively with the RTRS, program specialists, and coaches to support skill building and professional development for classroomAssists the RTRS as assigned to support effective and efficient classroom services. This may include :Staff scheduling and coverage planning, ensuring adequate staffing in classrooms, substituting asReviewing data and reports to ensure timely and effective serviceMonitoring for timely completion of lesson plans, child observations and assessments, home visits andMonitoring for timely completion of health & safety checklists and follow up to identifiedMonitoring for accurate and timely completion of transition & countingCollaborates with site team to plan and conduct monthly parentAssists the RTRS to plan and conduct monthly Region meetings withEffectively uses ChildPlus and other applicable databases for collection, tracking, reporting, and review of child and family data andResponds to emails, inter-office mail, and voicemails in a promptAssists the RTRS with coordination and training of classroomSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
