JOB DESCRIPTION

The System Project Manager Senior is responsible for all aspects of complex projects. Initiates, defines, and manages multiple very high-profile projects of considerable complexity, at one time.

Provides oversight to strategic projects, working closely with the leadership. Sets the strategic direction for assigned areas of responsibility, leveraging basic project management tools to deliver results.

  • Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. Achieves operational objectives by delivering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews;
  • preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems;

completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements and implementing change. Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Enhances the LCMC Health System reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests;

exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Works closely with other project managers ensuring objectives and results are in line with expected results.

Your Everyday

Project Management & Administration :

  • Generates support and commitment to new ideas and their implementation.
  • Ensures assigned projects meet department requirements.
  • Effectively communicates project initiatives and change management activities.
  • Works effectively with vendors, business sponsors, stakeholders in development of sound solutions to business problems.
  • Operationalize strategic plans with timely execution of project / program deliverables.
  • Performs data management and analysis.

Expense & Resource Management :

  • Utilizes department resources / supplies efficiently.
  • Provides financial decision support and recommends improvements to the business model.
  • Leads the development and management of operational and capital budgets.

Leadership & Mentorship :

  • Responsible for directing, developing, and implementing operational projects as assigned.
  • Provides mentorship and leadership as needed to other staff members of project management team.

Communication & Documentation Support :

  • Maintains professional communication at all times.
  • Ensures accountability through timely follow-through and escalation as required.

Other Duties as Required :

  • Performs other required duties as assigned.
  • Establishes practices that meet or exceed customer expectations and fosters a customer-focused environment.
  • Analyses and assesses present and future needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities related to LCMC Health System operations.
  • Participates in strategic planning for designed areas.

The Must-Haves

Minimum :

Experience Qualifications

  • Required : 3 years of experience managing multiple, highly complex projects that are high profile in nature with a PMP Certification.
  • 5 years of experience managing multiple, highly complex projects that are high profile in nature without a PMP Certification

Education Qualifications

  • Required : Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred : Master’s Degree

Licenses and Certifications

Preferred :

Certification Name : Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Issuer : Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Licensure Specialty : Certification

Skills and Abilities

  • Exhibit a high degree of customer service, cooperation, teamwork, initiative, and exceptional judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve time-based objectives, balance multiple priorities, communicate effectively while remaining.
  • organized.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated logical problem-solving capability.
