Subsystems Metrology Section Manager

The Subsystems Metrology Section Manager will work under limited direction and supervision to manage a team of experienced salary and bargaining unit employees across multiple factories and work sites to support measurement and test equipment (M&TE) calibration schedules, prioritize work to meet customer demands, create budget forecasts and monitor expenditures, and act as calibration management interface with other organizations to influence policies, practices, and procedures.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a Metrology team across multiple factories
  • Influence and collaborate with other managers and directors on Metrology related issues
  • Forecast workloads and create supporting budgets
  • Develop and deploy M&TE sustainment strategies in coordination with factories
  • Manage indirect and direct cost accounts related to scope of responsibility
  • Identify and make improvements to processes to enhance area performance
  • Solve difficult and moderately complex systemic problems

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Engineering / technical experience in product test, manufacturing, or electronics maintenance environments
  • Experience leading a team / project
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF). The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Qualifications We Prefer

  • Interpretation of technical documentation
  • Experience in cost account management
  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with multiple disciplines and functions
  • Able to influence people, policies, practices, and procedures
  • Experience with metrology and calibration processes, systems, and requirements
  • Experience leading large / complex projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate at the leadership level

    The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Raytheon considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and / or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
