Dietary Cook Shift : Weekend - 7am – 7pm, Saturdays and Sundays

Dietary Cook – Essential Functions :

Prepare and serve meals to residents in our community

Ensure all special dietary needs are met, including preparing texture-modified food as directed

Maintain compliance with all recordkeeping, food safety, and risk management requirements

Maintain clean dining areas and dishes using proper procedures; discard leftovers and empty trash

Understand and follow color coding and abbreviations on tray cards and therapeutic menus

Maintain kitchen equipment and appliances

Attend all mandatory in-services, educational trainings, and department meetings

Dietary Cook – Requirements :

Friendly with good communication skills

Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents

Ability to read and follow directions

Able to meet physical demands (stand, sit, walk extended periods, push / pull / lift up to 50 lbs)

Food service experience preferred

Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines

High school diploma or GED accepted

Ability to handle multiple tasks, demonstrate strong organization, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
