Housekeeping / Porter

Summary : Specifically assigned to maintain and assist department with senior adults requests that would be assigned by the Housekeeping Director.

Reports to : Housekeeping

Responsibility :

Duties are including but not excluding any direction that administration may feel is needed for the safety and comfort of the residents.

1.       Maintenance and repair of facility and grounds. This includes :

a.        Shampooing of carpets and waxing of floors, cleaning of furniture

c.        Set up and break down of activities and public relations events

d.       Cleaning of walls, baseboards and doors

e.        Empty trash

f.         Snow removal, grounds upkeep in conjunction with contract services

g.       General vacuuming, dusting, cleaning mirrors and windows, cleaning toilet, sinks, tubs, showers and floors

h.       General cleaning and sanitizing

2.       Use prescribed infection control procedures

3.       Report and unsafe, unsanitary and or unusual conditions

4.       Maintain maintenance storage rooms in appropriate fashion

5.       Maintain maintenance supplies in appropriate areas

6.       Check and complete routine maintenance needs per schedule (i.e. water temperatures, fire equipment, light bulbs, etc.)

7.       Maintain and handle equipment in an appropriate manner

8.       Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, courteous manner with resident satisfaction a priority

9.   Other responsibilities as requested.

10.  Sunday-Thursday shift required. Willing to Train!
