Travel Oncology RN – Level 2 RN (Hematology / Oncology – BMT Unit)

Location : Rochester, NY

Unit : Hematology Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant

Start Date : August 18, 2025

Contract Length : 13 Weeks

Schedule : 3x12s – D / E / N Rotating

Additional Scheduling : Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge as needed

Position Summary :

Join a high-acuity Hematology-Oncology unit with a focus on bone marrow transplant (BMT) and hematologic malignancies . This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work with a collaborative care team in a fast-paced environment that prioritizes quality outcomes and patient-centered care .

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver evidence-based care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, and hematologic treatment regimens

Manage complex patient cases including neutropenic precautions and transfusion protocols

Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and interpretation

Administer chemotherapeutic agents (must be Chemo Certified )

Collaborate with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, and care coordinators

Monitor patient progress, report changes, and document in EPIC EMR system

Provide emotional support and education to patients and families navigating oncology treatment

Requirements :

Active NY State RN License (Required)

Minimum 2 Years of Recent RN Experience

BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) Experience Required

Telemetry Experience Required

Certifications Required :

BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Chemotherapy / Biotherapy Certification
