About the Role

As the Senior Manager of Medical Safety within the Rhythm Solutions division, you will lead a team dedicated to ensuring patient safety and providing medical oversight throughout the total product lifecycle. This role is responsible for implementing best-in-class practices, policies, and processes that support rigorous safety vigilance. You will oversee the timely and consistent assessment of adverse events, guide safety-related decision-making, and deliver high-level therapeutic expertise to both internal and external stakeholders. This is a key leadership position with a direct impact on patient outcomes and innovation at Boston Scientific.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation :

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Ensure medical safety oversight is embedded in clinical trial execution and product complaint handling by maintaining current processes and training curricula.
  • Support the Quality organization through the development and harmonization of standard policies and procedures.
  • Identify and address organizational development needs, driving continuous improvement within Medical Safety.
  • Lead integrated analysis of potential safety issues and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct early medical review of clinical trial Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) to identify unanticipated adverse device effects.
  • Represent Medical Safety in cross-functional teams across clinical studies, post-market surveillance, and risk management initiatives.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in a healthcare or life sciencerelated field.
  • Active licensure as an RN, DNP, or PA.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience providing direct patient care in electrophysiology or cardiology.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in people leadership.
  • Strong leadership competencies, including communication, collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Related experience in Medical Safety, Clinical Research, and / or Clinical Quality.
  • Experience with operational safety practices in clinical studies.
  • Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
