Diagnostic Imaging Registered Nurse
Diagnostic Imaging Nursing is an outpatient department that supports both an inpatient and ambulatory population. The ambulatory population consists of episodic visits, chronic disease management, and procedure support. This fast-paced department provides services seven days a week and on holidays.
The Diagnostic Imaging (DI) nurse provides specialized comprehensive and holistic primary nursing services in one or more of the following areas : Diagnostic Imaging, Infusion, Cardiology Procedures, Physiatry and Central Line patients utilizing the professional practice standards established by the Association for Radiologic & Imaging Nursing, the Infusion Nurses Society and the American Nurses' Association. The DI Nurse serves as a resource for patients, families, internal and external providers and their office staff, nursing (both inpatient and outpatient), and other support services.
The nurse must be able to institute life saving measures, follow universal precautions, enforce the use of Time Out, maintain aseptic technique, and strictly adhere to hand hygiene per hospital protocol.
