About The Position

Job Title : Sonographer, Client Fetal Medicine

Profession : Sonographer

Experience : Minimum 1 year in Client Fetal Medicine required

License : VA license required

Certifications : RDMS-OB, NT - Nuchal Translucency required

Must-Have : Minimum 2-3 years of Client Fetal Medicine experience preferred

Description :

The registered sonographer works closely with maternal fetal medicine providers, genetic counselors, medical assistants, nurses, and patient care representatives.

The team sees on average between 50-100 patients between multiple providers.

Comprehensive OB exams are performed, along with a few GYN pelvic exams following procedures.

OB exams include First Trimester Viability, Nuchal Translucency, First Trimester Anatomy, Early Anatomy, Detailed Anatomical Survey, Third Trimester Anatomy, Cervical Length Assessment, Biophysical Profile, and Limited Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome protocol with limited sonogram.

The service also includes Multiple Ultrasound Guided Invasive Procedures, such as amniocentesis, CVS, D&C / D&E, Saline Sonohysterogram, and Fetal Echo Doppler studies.

A wide range of patient diagnoses is seen daily, including congenital cardiac defects, skeletal dysplasia, open neural tube defects, and fetal growth restriction.

The sonographer must be proficient in PACS and portable ultrasound equipment, with hands-on experience in Client and High Risk OB ultrasound as well as Doppler studies and M-Mode.

Experience with fetal echo is preferred.

Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple exams and accommodate add-ons throughout the day while working in a collaborative environment.

The facility aims to maintain a smoke and nicotine-free environment.

The position requires compliance with vaccination requirements for COVID-19 and flu during the designated seasons.
