The Institutional Product Group forms the backbone of Coinbase's institutional services, supporting numerous large financial institutions. We enable secure custody of digital assets and facilitate comprehensive participation in the crypto economy. Our commitment lies in developing a robust and secure crypto platform that manages hundreds of assets and provides various participation strategies, including staking, governance, and web3 integrations. The team focuses on pioneering advancements in crypto technologies and scalable infrastructure across web and mobile platforms in a fast-paced environment filled with opportunities to launch new initiatives.

The Institutional Financing Engineering team is charged with creating and managing systems that safely oversee billions in loans across diverse products such as Portfolio Margin, Trade Finance, Agency Lending, and Bilateral Lending. Financing is crucial to the Prime Brokerage business as it allows customers to leverage their trading positions while also generating yield from long-term holdings. These products are pivotal for generating recurring revenue, increasing trading volume, and encouraging asset retention on our platform.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and implement new financing products and features.
• Create and enhance reporting tools, monitoring frameworks, APIs, and other utilities.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate visions into actionable deliverables each quarter.
• Enhance developer efficiency, engineering excellence, and operational performance.
• Provide support to operations and other engineering teams.
• Mentor team members and uplift the overall technical acumen of the team.

Compensation Transparency : The target annual salary for this position ranges between $152,405 - $179,300 USD, depending on your work location. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
