Lead Teacher - Saint Johns (Julington Creek), FL

Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes.
  • Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities in a safe environment.
  • Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
  • Observe children's interests and collaborate with other teachers to develop a creative, engaging curriculum.
  • Communicate with parents daily, sharing children's latest adventures and achievements through various channels.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
  • Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
  • Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
