Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and process-driven Senior Accounting Manager to lead key treasury and accounting operations for our growing healthcare organization. This role focuses on cash flow forecasting, treasury management (including strategy for excess cash utilization), and leading the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) function with an eye toward efficiency and long-term scalability.
Additionally, this individual will drive technology and process improvements across the accounting function, with a strong partnership focus across Revenue Cycle, Procurement, FP&A, and IT. This role owns high-impact initiatives that improve cash visibility, working capital strategy, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury Management & Cash Flow Strategy
Lead daily cash positioning and develop rolling cash flow forecasts across multiple entities and bank accounts.
Analyze working capital trends and collaborate with Finance and Operations to proactively manage cash needs.
Develop and implement strategies for excess cash, including short-term investments, debt paydown, or reinvestment in strategic initiatives.
Maintain compliance with all debt covenants and prepare necessary lender reporting packages.
Optimize banking relationships, services, and fee structures to support the organizations liquidity and risk management goals.
Strategic Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Leadership
Own and improve the full P2P process : vendor onboarding, invoice approvals, disbursements, and payment timing.
Partner with Procurement and Clinical Operations to align purchasing practices with strategic financial goals.
Lead initiatives to optimize working capital through improved payment terms, disbursement timing, and vendor management.
Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements within the P2P lifecycle.
Accounting Technology & Process Improvement
Lead cross-functional projects to modernize and automate key accounting and treasury processes.
Identify and implement tools and systems that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial operations.
Serve as a liaison between Accounting, IT, and Operations to translate process needs into actionable technology improvements.
RCM Cash Reconciliation & Support
Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and Accounting teams to improve cash application, reconciliation, and unapplied cash resolution.
Support initiatives that ensure complete, timely, and accurate cash integration from patient collections and payer reimbursements into treasury and forecasting processes.
Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to track progress across reconciliation and cash operations.
Qualifications : Requirements :
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in healthcare or a related industry.
Strong expertise in cash management, cash forecasting, and treasury operations.
Experience leading P2P process improvements and working capital strategy.
Proven ability to drive systems or process automation across accounting and finance teams.
Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and payer reimbursement models.
Preferred :
CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.
Experience with healthcare financial systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or Coupa).
Familiarity with short-term investment strategies, debt instruments, and treasury policy development.
Project management or transformation leadership experience (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
