The Insurance Accounts Receivable role is a billing staff position with responsibility for specified department duties with ENTAA Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians, LLC.

Essential Functions Include :

• Responsible for the accurate processing of insurance claims, including Medicaid / Medicare claims. Issues refunds when appropriate.
• Collects and enters patient's insurance information into data base when appropriate.
• Processes insurance correspondence, signature and insurance forms.
• Follows up with insurance companies and ensures claims are paid by contracted fee schedule.
• Responds to telephone calls from patients regardin account information
• Trains personnel new to practice
• Provides cross coverage

Shift :

Monday-Friday, Day Shift

No weekends

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum two (2) years of insurance billing experience in a health care organization
• Prior knowledge of medical billing / collections practices; basic CPT coding; ICD-10 concepts; and medical terminology
• Prior knowledge of insurance industry contracts, policies and appeal process
• Capacity to type 40 wpm
• Ability to read and understand EOB remittance

Salary Range : Minimum $19.00 / hour - Maximum $25.00 / hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
