Cleveland Clinic Pediatrics offers complete care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents. The pediatric department encourages the healthy growth and development of children by emphasizing the importance of healthy lifestyles and educating parents and children on safety and accident prevention. This team is available for problems that require prompt attention, such as fever, earaches and injuries, as well as preventive checkups, school physicals and immunizations. As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. You'll work collaboratively with fellow staff to support medication management, patient monitoring, and a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. A caregiver in this position works primary hours from 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm with rotating evenings and weekends as needed. This role will be stationed at the main facility of Chesterland Medical Office Building and will float to cover the Pediatric Unit at Hillcrest Hospital.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative / clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
