Job Description

Brains & Motion is currently looking for a Lead Floater Instructor to join our team, providing instructional support across multiple schools in a designated area. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for teaching kids who want to positively impact students' lives. As a Floater Instructor, you will fill in for scheduled instructors, ensuring students receive high-quality education and mentorship. When not assigned to teach, you may assist with program inventory and other operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and Lead Activities : Support teachers with curriculum as needed. Coach and offer guidance to instructors to ensure program quality. Conduct site visits to help review programs and provide feedback to instructors.
• Teach Sportsmanship & Teamwork : Instruct students in the rules and mechanics of sports and games, while fostering teamwork, collaboration, and positive play.
• Supervise & Support Students : Monitor and supervise students during activities, providing behavioral support and ensuring a safe, respectful environment in line with school and district policies.
• Maintain Equipment : Set up, take down, and manage physical education equipment, ensuring the availability and safety of materials.
• Encourage Participation : Ensure that all students feel encouraged to participate, regardless of their abilities, fostering their physical, social, and emotional development.
• Enrichment Leadership : Lead hands-on enrichment activities in line with the expanded learning curriculum during after-school hours.
• Collaborate & Participate : Work closely with school site staff and program facilitators to coordinate activities, attend meetings, and participate in training programs as required.
• Follow Safety Protocols : Adhere to district and school site policies to maintain a safe environment for students at all times.
• Provide First Aid as Necessary : Administer basic First Aid in case of accidents or injuries during school hours.
