Job Description

To run specified Service Bureau equipment while at the same time taking a lead role to make production and associate decisions in the absence of the Production Supervisor. This role is on 3rd shift, 11 : 30pm-10 : 00am, Wed-Sat

Responsibilities

• Run the Service Bureau equipment as assigned and trained to do.
• Provide guidance on jobs to associates in the absence of Supervisor.
• Work with the Supervisor to assist with customer directives, deliveries, changes, emergencies, data issues and special files by printing accurately and efficiently. Minimize waste and misuse of raw materials. Communicate with fellow associates, customer service and the supervisor. Be familiar with all customers and their special needs as well as production schedules to ensure correct information is conveyed.
• Use ERP system to log time and materials accurately.
• Ensure production quality standards are met by sampling, viewing and checking jobs as they are processed.
• Help maintain equipment by placing service calls to appropriate service technicians.
• Maintain inventory levels and properly store pre-printed items in warehouse and front shelving units.
• Ensure data from each customer arrives on time; alert a supervisor if data is late and follow instructions to complete tasks within the time frame.
• Other duties as assigned by management. Regular attendance is an essential function. Compliance with drug-free workplace and all safety policies is required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED; or four years' job-related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires :

Work Environment

The work environment is in a manufacturing setting with continuous to moderate noise. Hearing protection may be required. Safety glasses and other PPE may be required. Exposure to chemicals, inks, and coatings requires PPE when handling.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $24.62 - $32.83 / hour . The hiring wage range represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay as of the posting date. Actual salaries vary based on factors including skills, experience, education, training, location, job scope, and travel.
