Aftermarket Materials Supervisor
The Aftermarket Materials Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that : the Spares organization has material available to support published Spares lead times, the Repair organization has material available to support contractual repair turn-around-times (TAT), the exchange pool is properly provisioned to support Product Support Agreement TAT guarantees, aftermarket inventory levels are monitored and controlled within established cost and turns limits and that the Repair Station Receiving Department is staffed and equipped to support its operational commitments to efficiently process repairs within one business day of receipt on dock. Manage the Repair / Material Planners to ensure customer repair units are moving through each stage and shortages are being tracked and replenished.
Essential Functions :
- Supervise and work with the Aftermarket Repair & Material Planners to ensure that : Spares inventory and Spares demand on the Production organization are aligned with Spares and Retrofit sales projections provided by the front-end sales team and net inventory and inventory turns budgets established by the business. Reviewed at least once every 2 weeks.
- AOG inventory is provisioned per product support agreements to support shipment of AOG's. Reviewed at least once per month.
- Repair inventory and repair demand on production are aligned with Repair Station WIP material demand projections to support repair Turn-Around-Time (TAT) commitments and net inventory and inventory turns budgets established by the business. Reviewed at least once every 2 weeks.
- Repair work order shortages are worked aggressively each day to clear the immediate shortage and to prevent future shortages on the same item.
- Repair Station Rotable (Exchange Unit) stock is provisioned to cover Product Support Agreement (PSA) TAT commitments and contractual commitments established in modification programs. Reviewed at least once per month.
- Demand is consistently placed on and visible to the production organization at least 30 days beyond Cumulative Total Lead Time (CTLT) for the given part and preferably 12 months out to support material and labor demand planning activates.
- Establish an Aftermarket Material Management KPI board and ensure that performance is monitored and discussed daily with the team.
- Supervise and work with the Repair Station Receiving Team to ensure that : Repair Orders are received in within one business day and that receiving TAT is maintained below 1 day on average on their KPI's
- Oracle repair orders are created in a clear, error free and consistent manner and that any Quality Issues noted are promptly addressed.
- Customer Owned containers are properly stored, cycle counted and returned to customers when orders are complete.
- Receiving quarantines are logged in, communicated to the Customer Account Administrators, and promptly addressed.
- Establish a Repair Station Receiving Department KPI board and ensure that performance is monitored and discussed daily with the team.
- Oversee the Material Handler assigned to Aftermarket to ensure that : Repair provisioning orders are promptly inspected per CFR-145 receiving inspection requirements, brought into Repair Stores and maintained with complete LOT traceability in Oracle each day.
- Promise dates on short repair orders are maintained each day and shortages are promptly paid off when material arrives in Repair Station stores.
- Cycle counts of Repair Station Main Stores and Rotable inventory are conducted each week and that Point of Use Stores is Cycle counted each week by the Repair Cells.
- Repair store's locations are maintained in a neat and organized fashion.
- Strive for exemptions from annual physical inventory by supporting on time and accurate weekly cycle counts. When exemptions are not granted coordinate personnel, data, processes, and training for the annual physical inventory of aftermarket stores.
- Establish an Aftermarket Material Management KPI board and ensure that performance is monitored and discussed daily (same board as Aftermarket Material Planner).
- Champion process and lean management initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve Spares OTD to PSA lead time commitments, reduced percent of repair orders impacted by shortages, reduced total repair order shortage TAT days, improved inventory turns, improved material handling processes and improved Repair Station receiving processes.
- Ensure frequent interactions with team members, internal customers, and internal suppliers.
Minimum Required Qualifications :
Experience : At least three years prior experience forecasting and planning inventory requirements.Knowledge : Working knowledge of Export Administration Regulations and ITAR Compliance.Basic knowledge of a manufacturing system, preferably in the aerospace industry.Knowledge of industry supply chain best practices and innovations related to delivery performance, cost management, material handling, and lead time reduction.Skills / Abilities : Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent ability to interface productively with internal and external personnel.Must be able to develop solutions to a variety of problems of varying scope and complexity and contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.Education / Certification : Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications :
