Description
This position is for the NCRC Range Modernization (RM) Software Engineer position providing development, testing, and support associated with their designated NCRC product scrum team.
Performing as a software developer on an NCRC product scrum team
- Supporting resolution of open program problem reports (PPRs) associated with their designated NCRC product scrum team
- Developing unit tests for development assignments and support integration testing efforts
- Executing the software engineering tasks necessary to maintain and make changes to program baseline architectures
- Providing occasional development guidance and input to junior software developers
- Supporting cyber range capability assessments, evaluations, and technology prototypes
- Providing remote site support for setup, configuration, and delivery activities

Requirements
Bachelor's degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant topicsThree (3) years or more of related, proven experience performing similar dutiesHigh-level knowledge of software development to include agile software development practices; programming languages; operating systems; networks; enterprise and consumer IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage)Proficiency in Python, Java, and C / C++ development and scripting in PowerShell and bashExperience with Linux-based operating systemsKnowledge of one or more continuous integration tools such as JenkinsKnowledge of one or more of the following : MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and NoSQLExperience with project logistics and working with controlled engineering baselinesFamiliarity with version control systems such as SVN and GitAbility and experience effectively communicating technical and programmatic issuesDemonstrated ability to work within teamsStrong organizational skillsTop Secret clearance eligibilityDesired Skills
Master's degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or five (5) years or more of related, proven experience performing similar dutiesExperience working with platform development, end-users (operators), and system developersStrong experience with Linux-based operating systemsExperience with complex enterprise infrastructures using various operating systems and configuring domain services such as AD, Exchange / email, DNS, DHCP, VPN, databases, IIS, Apache, etc.Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as : VMWare, Docker, HyperV, Xen, Kubernetes, etc.Experience with software defined networking and network function virtualizationKnowledge of networking protocols such as TCP / IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP, etc.Knowledge of user simulator technologies and solutions, which generate network and application traffic to simulate realistic usersKnowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and toolsClearance Information
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET ELIGIBILITY
