Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail or mall location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity observed during patrols. Assist with access control, monitor entrances and exits, and interact with the public in a professional manner. Support emergency response activities as needed, according to site guidelines and Allied Universal training. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to clients and visitors. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Experience in loss prevention is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Patrol Officer
As a Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Patrol Officer in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.
As an unarmed Patrol Officer at this vibrant retail location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. You will perform routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and deliver outstanding customer service with clear, courteous communication. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
