Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Job Details :

  • Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend
  • 1 : 2 patient ratios for both day and night shifts
  • 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Specific cardiac ICU experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Required certifications : ACLS and BLS
  • Must wear blue scrubs
  • Work with adult patient population in 23-room ICU unit with daily census of 18
  • Use Accudose medication system and Cerner documentation system
  • Utilize SBAR communication protocols
  • Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pulmonary artery line / Swan Ganz monitoring, central line care and management, starting IVs, care of ventilated patients, and ventilator management
  • Self-scheduling system with pre-approved time off available
  • Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

    This community hospital features a 23-room intensive care unit specializing in cardiac critical care with a daily census of 18 patients. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology including Accudose medication systems and Cerner electronic health records. The ICU provides comprehensive critical care services with full interdisciplinary support and follows evidence-based protocols for cardiac intensive care management.
