Overview

POSITION TITLE : Social Services Coordinator

STATUS : FULL-TIME NON-EXEMPT

SUPERVISOR : Service Extension Field Rep or Director

Salary : $22.00 per hour

SCOPE OF POSITION : Provides overall supervision and oversight of the South King County Service Center. This center functions in collaboration with a local committee. Services range from financial assistance, sending children to summer camp, supporting those in need with basic needs, back to school assistance and Christmas assistance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Five years social service experience preferred; three years acceptable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license and good driving record. Will need to travel within the local area as needed but most work is in an office environment with frequent interruptions, multiple deadlines and competing priorities.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Interview and assess clients\' needs while keeping good records of services provided

Increase and leverage volunteerism in South King County

Promote agency programs through community meetings, events, and presentations to community organizations, or through other public relations activities

Coordinate, recruit, and grow the center programs which include but not limited to Christmas Distribution, Kettles, Summer Camp and Back to School programs

Health Insurance : Low bi-weekly premiums ($34.62) for employee only coverage, Kaiser HMO for those residing in a Kaiser service area, Anthem EPO / PPO is available for those residing outside of a Kaiser service area. Parental Leave : Benefit will be one week (5 business days) of paid leave at the employee\'s normal rate of pay for births, adoptions and foster placements.

Sick Leave : 12 days annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after 3 months\' service time.

Paid Vacation : 2 weeks annually accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions. 4 weeks annually accruing from day one, for exempt positions. Accrued vacation eligible for use after 6 months\' service time.

Paid Holidays : 13 designated holidays + 1 floating holiday per year
