Associate Vice President, Solution Advisory North America (Industrial & Retail Vertical)
As the Associate Vice President, Solution Advisory North America (Industrial & Retail Vertical), you will be a vital part of our AMER Solution Advisory team, working with a group of talented professionals. Your expertise will be instrumental in understanding customer needs, crafting innovative solutions, and supporting our sales team to drive business growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success and shape the future of contract management solutions in the Industrial and Retail sectors.
You will work closely with the Sales and Customer Advocacy teams to help define strategy and direction. You will be a hands-on Solution Advisory professional with deep leadership experience. This professional will be passionate about a cloud / SaaS business model and possess impeccable Solution Advisory skills.
The AVP, Solution Advisory will be a strong people leader who intuitively demonstrates active listening, is incredibly responsive, provides detailed follow-through, is flexible, agile, and focused on driving a growth organization, and delivers a proven track record of team leadership, strong performance, and outcomes. This position will be remote. We offer fully remote options within the US.
Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management is one of the key areas identified to help companies achieve immediate and continuous transformation through faster Revenue Velocity, better Risk and Compliance Management, and greater Operational Efficiency. This role is positioned to make a significant growth contribution for Icertis by developing partnerships built on shared urgency for customer transformation, with CLM and ICI as the platform to deliver it.
Responsibilities
Build, mentor, and manage the regional Solution Advisory team.
Engage with customers and prospects to comprehend their business objectives and requirements.
Develop compelling solution strategies, showcasing the value of Icertis' platform through demonstrations and workshops.
Collaborate with field sales teams to support Go-To-Market initiatives and ensure successful deal closures.
Take ownership of responses to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Stay updated with industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships.
Work closely with product management and development teams to ensure product-market fit and enhance the platform's capabilities.
Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to stakeholders and decision-makers.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Solutions Advisory team.
Contribute to industry / trade event participation, presentations, white papers, and analyst briefings.
Engage with Product Engineering to prepare solution demos.
Engage with Product Management to communicate feature requirements from customers and the market.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience; master's degree preferred.
15+ years of related industry experience, with at least 5 years in a Solution Advisory capacity for products or enterprise solutions.
Experience managing and leading a Solution Advisory team focused in the specific vertical (CPG, Retail).
Understanding and knowledge of federal contracting processes, including but not limited to capture management, negotiation, federal awards, subcontracting, and contract closeout.
Proven track record of successful customer engagements and deal closures (internal or external).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments.
Analytical and logical mindset with experience in market research and competitive analysis.
Strong business acumen and a results-driven approach.
Flexibility to travel as required for customer meetings and industry events.
Quick learner, ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and work with geographically distributed teams.
Proficient in presentations, written, and verbal communication.
Any domain or IT experience in procurement, sourcing, or sales contracting will be an advantage.
