Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining the student housing apartment portfolio for UC Berkeley students. This role involves performing a wide variety of tasks including repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to service requests. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Senior Facilities Manager to ensure all apartments, common areas, and facilities are in excellent condition, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities :

General Maintenance & Repairs :

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Address and resolve service requests from residents in a timely manner, ensuring that all issues are handled professionally and with minimal disruption to the students.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance on building systems and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure long-term efficiency.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and communicate any restocking needs to the Senior Facilities Manager.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of common areas such as hallways, lounges, laundry rooms, and recreational spaces.
