Seasonal Host / Hostess Part Time

Primary Objective of Position :

Displays a professional demeanor to all guests in the hotel’s food and beverage outlets including but not limited to the Restaurant, the Bar, In Room Dining, and Pavillion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties :

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive and depart, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu.
• Maintain proper set up of the dining room and cleanliness and standard presentation of all menus.
• Promptly answer the telephone and input messages into the computer. Retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest. Retrieve mail, small packages and facsimiles for customers as requested.
• Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
• Cooperate closely with other members of the outlet team including servers and kitchen colleagues.  Act as a liaison between the guest and other hotel departments.
• Responsible for assisting in inspecting linen, china, silverware and condiments.  Clear all tables during and after meal periods.  Maintain the cleanliness of the Host / Hostess stand.
• Provide knowledge of the hotel, facilities and local city attractions to respond to guest and client inquiries.
