About PESCM

PESCM, located in San Rafael, is the only 24 / 7 veterinary hospital in Marin County, with specialties in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Urgent Care, Emergency, Radiology and Critical Care. Our mission is to serve pets and people by continually pushing to improve our medicine, our service, our communication and ourselves.

About the Job : As a Client Service Coordinator in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for client service as your top priority, including but not limited to :

  • Welcome & triage our emergency clients in a friendly, helpful, and compassionate manner
  • Serve as the liaison between clients and the emergency medical team, relaying vital information about medical histories, concerns and questions
  • Keeping emergency clients informed of their pet's journey from start to finish, from initial emergency wait times, to assessing if patient is stable or critical and where they fall in our ever-changing line-up of patients, to creating and delivering estimates, collecting deposits, finalizing invoices, preparing medications and supplies for discharge, delivering discharge information as appropriate
  • Prepare and review medical records accurately and completely
  • Educate and advise clients regarding PESCM's services and practices
  • Process invoices and payments accurately
  • Assist with other administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, and emailing
  • Assist with front desk coverage as needed

About you

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting strongly preferred, but extensive client service background without veterinary experience will be considered
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a must
  • Ability to multi-task in a chaotic environment with competing needs
  • Ability to be compassionate at all times with upset and worried clients
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
  • Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
  • Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!
  • Schedule : Tuesday through Friday, 2 : 00pm - 12 : 30am

    Salary : $25.00 - $28.00 an hour, based off experience

    Base Pay

    $25—$28 USD
