Join a dedicated team providing essential healthcare services through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments tailored for Veterans across various locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments efficiently and accurately.
- Submit detailed reports and addendums in a timely manner to support veterans’ claims.
- Adhere to established protocols, focusing on assessment and documentation without prescribing or providing treatment.
Required Skills:
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina.
- Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or orthopedic surgery.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interviewing veterans.
- Ability to work independently within your own professional office setting.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with veterans’ healthcare or compensation and pension evaluations.
- Familiarity with medical documentation and report writing.
- Flexibility to perform exams at multiple locations as needed.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice in general medicine or related fields.
- Some familiarity with military or veteran healthcare systems is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Own a private office location within the specified radius of each assignment site.
- Must be available on a PRN basis, with flexibility for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- No travel reimbursement beyond rates, no certification or portal training reimbursement.
- Adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations relevant to nursing practice.
