Summary : The Resident Service Designee supports the Resident Service Director in the administration of the nursing services. In conjunction with the Resident Service Director, the Resident Service Designee directs, plans, and coordinates services activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering resident care. Interprets policy and regulations to all nursing personnel and ensures compliance. Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to ensure quality of resident care. The Resident Service Designee in concert with the Resident Service Director assumes responsibility for providing oversight of the resident health care service's needs, including the overall medication delivery system and the coordination of in-service training for the Resident Care Services Department. The Resident Service Designee contributes directly and positively to the team approach to quality resident care by attending to and assisting with a variety of physical, emotional and social needs to help residents maintain their highest level of independence possible.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for ensuring clinical services are provided in accordance with state regulations, accepted clinical standards, agency policy and standards.
- Assist in the coordination and management of nursing and personal care attendant services provided to residents.
- Provides nursing services to residents including resident teaching, wellness counseling, health promotion, disease prevention, provision of care and services to residents whose conditions are chronic and stable, and assisting residents with activities of daily living.
- Aware and knowledgeable of the federal and state laws and regulations regarding assisted living / memory care and the regulations of the state's nursing commission; ensures and maintains regulatory compliance with all such regulations.
- Assisting in the coordination and management of care and services for residents through the following : move in process, assessment and service plan, service plan review process, staff training, education and supervision, proper, accurate documentation and delegation, infection control, move out / discontinuation of services, and monthly resident care service staffing schedule.
- Available after-hours for issues related to current residents' needs; may be required to come into the community or conduct offsite assessment at these times.
- In coordination with the Resident Service Director, provides weekly reports to Executive Director, regarding any issues associated with the provision of core services, the managed residential community or the ALSA, summaries of which shall be provided to the governing authority, in accordance with the schedule established by the governing authority.
- Participates in other Resident Care Services and Community related duties, as assigned by the Executive Director.
Education / Experience / Licensure / Certification :
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state.Experience in Assisted Living, Home Health, Skilled Nursing and / or retirement center.Experience and passion in working with seniors.Experience in supervisory role and able to lead.Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 60lbs.Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members.In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.Why You'll Love Working for Us :
