Estimator / Senior Estimator (Pittsburgh)

JOB DESCRIPTION : ESTIMATOR / SENIOR ESTIMATOR

JENDOCO CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION, a General Contractor and Construction Management company serving Western Pennsylvania, is seeking a SENIOR ESTIMATOR for work at our office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Appropriately and accurately evaluate the cost of a project during all phases of preconstruction from

conceptual estimating through detailed quantity take-off, bid solicitation, and purchasing.

TYPICAL DUTIES :

• Calculate quantities and costs of construction items for hard bid and negotiated projects.
• Research material, labor, and equipment pricing for hard bid and negotiated projects.
• Quantify and price Self-Performed Work
• Prepare detailed scopes of work for multiple bid packages.
• Solicit, review, and award subcontracts.
• Provide risk assessments and constructability reviews for hard bid and negotiated projects.
• Develop conceptual and schematic level estimates based on ability to anticipate design relative to a
• fundamental knowledge of building systems and cost data.
• Maintain professional relationship with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other industry
• professionals.
