Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Organize and implement an art therapy program to address the physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of pediatric patients.

The systematic application of art in a therapeutic environment will be used to promote wellness, manage stress, express feelings, improve communication and promote coping with illness, injury, disability and hospital / healthcare experiences.

Responsibilities Provides therapeutic programming to improve the functional capabilities of patients. Develops, implements and evaluates art therapy programming in a variety of settings.

Coordinates work schedule and assignments with unit and Child Life Staff. Assesses and reassesses the patients' condition and response to treatment then records and reports patient progress.

Supervises Art Therapy interns, practicum students and volunteers as necessary.
