Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Auburn, NY 13021 (New York nursing jobs)

Facility : Community Hospital – 90 beds

Unit : Medical Surgical and Telemetry (float RN position)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 14, 2026

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1930-$2070

RN Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience

Active Registered Nurse license in New York State

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification and 6 CEUs on stroke-related topics (required before start)

IV therapy experience required (no dedicated IV team)

Ability to independently interpret telemetry / EKG strips

Proctored EKG exam on Day 1 of contract

Willingness to float to other units as needed

Travel nursing experience preferred

COVID-19 vaccine not required (proof or declination accepted)

Flu vaccine or declination required (mask required if declining)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients

Float between Med / Surg and Telemetry units as needed

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

Independently interpret telemetry and EKG strips

Initiate and manage IV therapy

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely charting using Paragon EMR

Participate in continuing education and maintain required nursing certifications
