Settlement Analyst
A Key Optimus client is searching for a Crude and Refined Products Settlement Analyst .
Responsibilities :
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly settlements of physical activity for crude and refined products.
- Utilize internal and external settlement systems and data to prepare and complete balancing schedules and cash and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external counterparties to build relationships.
- Assist leadership with related projects and settlement analysis.
- Works with internal and / or external clients and service providers to resolve out of balance conditions, funds movement errors and / or transaction processing inquiries.
- Generate invoicing statements and reports from Right Angle for cash forecasting; supply this information to settlements manager and accounting team.
- Review payment schedules, fees, rates and contract details to ensure information and payment timelines are accurate.
- Identify, recommend and implement process improvements for commodity settlement and accounting activities.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 1 to 3 years related experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in accounting, finance or business-related field preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively across all cultures both within the organization and with external counterparties.
- Knowledge of payables, receivables and inventory
- Experience using an Energy Trading and Risk Management system as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
