This Position reports to : Sales Development Manager, US B&R is seeking a highly motivated Lead Sales Engineer for our Sales Development Team US, to be based in one of several flexible locations. This technical professional will lead a complex automation products and services sales process, assist customers in resolving issues, grow relationships and accounts, and identify technological improvements for customers. The role often collaborates with engineers and sales support to Identify strategic targets, understand needs, propose solutions, and ensure successful sales outcomes.
The work model for this role is : near one of our offices on the East Coast (Alpharetta, GA / Milwaukee, WI / Woburn, MA / Lombard, IL). The role also requires ~50% travel within the region, with occasional international travel; valid driver's license and passport required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Drive sales growth by identifying and executing on new and existing customer opportunities across B&R's full product portfolio. Lead account strategy and deeply engage with customer teams to influence decision-making and uncover technical needs. Develop and present tailored technical solutions and value propositions aligned with customer requirements. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through formal meetings and informal engagement. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver impactful demos and ensure timely order fulfillment. Capture market intelligence in CRM, execute strategic account plans, and represent B&R at industry events.
Qualifications for the Role
Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of technical and sales experience within a relevant industry. Experience with industrial automation systems, including PLCs, motion control, HMI and system integration. Experience with control system design and interpreting.
