About the Role

We’re looking for a Manager of Application Development who can lead by example—balancing technical leadership with hands-on coding. In this player / coach role, you’ll mentor developers, guide architecture, and contribute directly to building scalable Java applications and database solutions. If you’re passionate about writing clean, efficient code while shaping a high-performing Agile team, this could be your next big move.

What You’ll Do

Lead and mentor a team of software developers in an Agile environment.
Design, develop, and implement scalable Java applications and database solutions.
Contribute directly as a development lead—writing, reviewing, and optimizing code.
Manage the full application development lifecycle with a focus on quality and timeliness.
Oversee release management, including deployments, version control, and monitoring.
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product, and Support teams to deliver complete solutions.
Champion best practices in source control, testing, and documentation.
Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to improve team performance.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

7+ years of software development experience (Java + SQL databases).

2+ years of leadership experience guiding technical teams.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployments.

Strong Agile methodology expertise, including sprint planning and velocity tracking.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices.

Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bonus : Experience in healthcare or financial software.
